Gospel musician Jane Rita and her team has stormed Tarkwa and its surrounding areas as part of her annual worship and praise event, “Upper Room Encounter” to donates to widows.
The event focused on spreading joy to vulnerable widows in the community, ensuring they experience the warmth and happiness of the festive season.
Over the years, Jane Rita Music has made it a mission to support those in need, particularly elderly women and widows. This year, the annual donation initiative began ahead of Christmas Eve, with over 100 widows from Tarkwa and nearby communities receiving donations. The gifts included rice, cooking oil, and clothing, aimed at providing relief and comfort during the holidays.
Speaking about the event, Jane Rita shared, “This is an initiative we plan to make an annual tradition, as part of our vision to alleviate the burdens faced by widows and elderly women in Tarkwa and its surrounding areas. By giving these gifts, we hope to ease their pain from loss and meet some of their basic needs.”
The widows expressed their gratitude and offered heartfelt prayers for Jane Rita, thanking her for her kindness and generosity ahead of the Christmas season.
