Saturday, December 9, USA based Ghanaian artiste, Sonnie Badu pulled off a successful show at his Rhytms of Africa concert held at the Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) after 10 years of hosting a program in Ghana.

Speaking in an interview after his program Rhythms of Africa, Dr. Sonnie Badu explained that despite dedicating over five months of intensive planning, his team encountered difficulties as most of the approached sponsors didn’t offer support.

“We hardly got sponsors, I do not understand why people want to support the Gospel events but they are the same people who will come to your programs, lift their hands up and cry to God. Maybe we are working with a demon but God will intervene and help us.”

Was asked if a proposal was sent out, he answered, “We planned this about five months ago but only few came in to support, what they even gave us was just a little drop of ocean. I had to sell my Rolex watch to support this event and make it successful.”

Congratulations to Dr Sonnie Badu and his team for that large stage musical concert. Kudos to George Quaye , the producer and Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, his PR especially.

What happened to the crutches is another debate for, Jesus can heal a wounded spirit whole in a week. Boi! See you at a future Sonnie Badu’s Concert.
