One of the great music producer, sound engineer and the archives man in Ghana, Uncle Fred Kyei Mensah has penned  down the aftermath of Dr. Sonnie Badu’s Rythms of Africa concert.

He writes:

At the end of the day, the Concert, was highly successful. Thanks to all that participated including the concept creator, the production team, security, and logistics providers.

Good planning coupled with money, can change things and this is what really went into this Concert. Prior to the day, SONNIE BADU had been in the country since October to promote the almost 6 hour show. He set the media and the churches agog with his presence to cement his resolve.

THE D DAY.
The atmosphere at the Arena Dome in Accra the place for his Rhythms of Africa Concert, was a beautiful sight to watch. Well decorated with pictures of the superstar of the night in various designs and colors with a blue carpet for the patrons to walk 🚶‍♂️on it like the Appian Way.

The tent ⛺️ made auditorium, was filled to capacity with decent and well behaved audience. The stage, lighting, sound and the atmospheric condition in terms of the air-conditioners, were on point though the humidity changed to a slightly warm temperature at a point.

PERFORMANCES.
I really enjoyed the performances from Piesie Esther Ministries , Nacee Music , Joe Mettle MOG and some two foreign acts from Nigeria 🇳🇬. Perez Musik , was on point on his hit song however, he missed some few notes at the onset. He can lower his keys whenever he is performing live. It’s an occurrence i have been monitoring on his live shows.

I didn’t enjoy the vocals of one of the artistes who was in a blue kaftan dress. More room for improvement. The harmonies and the instrumentalists present, were solid and determined. The presentation of the awards to the veteran musicians, was a good gesture. It’s delivery, was not well executed. The MC, Citizen Attoh, was in his elements.

Then came the main act of the night, Sonnie Badu. His entry with the pyrotechnics and LED syncing, was superb. There were some technical hitches with some of the microphones 🎤 and the in ear 👂 monitors. I left the place after his second performance around midnight since i had to go and sleep because, i had a program at 5am today.

Congratulations to Dr Sonnie Badu and his team for that large stage musical concert. Kudos to George Quaye , the producer and Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, his PR especially.

What happened to the crutches is another debate for, Jesus can heal a wounded spirit whole in a week. Boi! See you at a future Sonnie Badu’s Concert.

Good beads don’t rattle.
