One of the leading Speakers for the 2024 Annual Prayer Convocation at the Zion Praise Chapel International in Takoradi, Bishop Abraham Chigbundu who is the General Overseer at the Voice of Freedom International has stated that, as human beings living on this earth, we cannot have an upgrade without making the necessary sacrifices.

Speaking on the theme ‘Upgrade by Sacrifice’ at Bishop Bernard Ogyiri-Asare’s annual Prayer Convocation the revered man of God from Nigeria stated that, an upgrade does not come on a silver platter and it needs to pass through a process.

According to Exodus 3:7-8 “Then the LORD told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering.
So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land.It is a land flowing with milk and honey—the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.”

He said, there is no one who has achieved and improved in life without sacrifice and no man succeeds by just sacrifice but adequate sacrifice.
Using the example of marriage, he noted that if two people don’t sacrifice in marriage, it leads to divorce and a broken home.

“To activate a Prophecy, to upgrade does not come on a platter of Gold, it comes by a man expressing his faith by creating a vacuum. God does determine the quantity of blessing you receive, what God determines is quality and you are the one that determines the quantity you receive. By the container you take to God – your container determines what you carry home.

Bishop Chigbundu further stated, If our sacrifices do not cost pain – it is not sacrifice, is an offering and whatever you sacrifice for, that thing will be sacrificed for you and where you are at the present is the product of the sacrifices you made in the past. Where you are is as a result of the sacrifice your parents made for you to get where you are and where you will be depending on the sacrifices you are going to make.
